The prolific gadget filterer, Evan Blass has revealed an apparent picture of Samsung’s next flagship, The Galaxy S8.
The image aligns with previous rumors about the device, which incidentally pointed to a telephone with minimal bezels that help to fit a large and wraparound screen.
Those suggestions were confirmed last week, when Samsung issued press invitations for a “Galaxy Unpacked” event on March 29, where the Galaxy S8 is expected to be unveiled. Invitations to themselves are a breakthrough with a similar image. As we see there will be no distinction between Galaxy and Galaxy Edge. The second wins the game design. Of course, it will be available in two screen sizes.
An important difference with the S7 is that but the top and bottom frames have been greatly reduced. In fact, the bottom frame no longer has home button or capacitive Android buttons.
As a reminder, Samsung is expected to release two new entries in its popular series “Galaxy S” later this month. A 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and a 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus device. Reports from Blass, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal and others have said that both devices will have curved OLED displays, fingerprint scanners, the latest and fastest Snapdragon 835 chipset, a new voice assistant called Bixby and 3.5 mm headphone. It is expected that phones will be available in April.
In any case, the Galaxy S8 will be a major launch for Samsung, which is taking things very calmly, trying to recover financially and perceptually after the disastrous withdrawal of Galaxy Note 7.
