Line has updated its application for Android devices and added the ability to call landlines and mobiles from Line Call feature. Calls may be made to both domestic and international destinations and “very low”, according to the company. Already Skype offers this option for a couple of years ago.
This update is version 4.1.0 of the instant messaging service, and is currently only available in the countries Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, America, Japan, Thailand and Philippines. Moreover, the number of users has registered their mobile access to this feature.
Line had already announced this measure previously, in the same way that also made one of its biggest rivals in instant messaging, such as WhatsApp.
Android users can now use Line Call downloading through Play Store or updating the application. Users of iOS and other mobile operating systems still must wait for the update.
