Intel Edison, a small computer of the size of SD card

Intel announced at the CES 2014 show in Las Vegas a small computer the size of an SD – about 21 x 20 x 1.4 mm ultra-low consumption intended for portable devices and “wearable devices”.

Intel Edison can be installed on most devices, not just traditional computers, but phones or ‘tablets’ and any electronic device (chairs, coffee makers, coffee cups or baby pajamas). “The possibilities are endless for devices of all kinds”, says the company.

During his speech, Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel, unveiled this mini-PC, among other innovations. This invention works with Linux system, Quark features a dual-core processor and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is based on the 22nm Quark technology.

“The laptops can dress are not in all places because they are currently not solving real problems and are not integrated into our lifestyles”, he added.
