HP introduced its first professional tablet for the commerce sector and announced new capabilities for Touchpoint Manager management solution for small and medium business. The Pro Tablet 608 G1 is a tablet designed for businesses, with 8-inch (20cm) HD display which offers enhanced productivity and performance with Windows 10.
It is known for being thin and lightweight, with its only 8.35 mm thick and weighing 0.45 kg. Inside, the Pro Tablet 608 carries a Intel Atom Z8500 Quad Core processor with 4 GB memory and 128 GB eMMC storage, has the experience of Windows Professional and an autonomy of more than eight hours.
Designed with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and reinforced metal chassis, the device has undergone more than 120,000 hours of durability testings. Connectivity is guaranteed both inside and outside the office with dual band WiFi ac/b/g/n4 and optionally, 3G or 4G WWAN5.
This device has two front stereo speakers, two microphones, DTS Studio Sound and noise cancellation software that together with the 2MP front camera, allow video conferences even in noisy areas. Another resolution of 8MP camera makes photos in high quality, which is especially useful in areas such as insurance or real estate.
Finally it should be noted that this is HP’s first tablet that has the high-performance USB-C port for uploading and faster data transfers, as well as a wide range of adapters to support connectivity cable.
Remote access with Touchpoint Manager
The downtime of the device poses an even greater threat for smaller organizations that do not have staff and equipment replacement. To address the needs of companies with limited IT resources, HP launched HP Touchpoint Manager last fall as a management solution based on the cloud designed for small and medium enterprises.
The manufacturer has announced new features which provide IT a safe and simple tool with which to remotely access and troubleshoot Windows devices from a browser, desktop and mobile devices.
Thus, the update that will be held in this month’s HP Touchpoint Manager Service Update will allow quickly resolve issues, regardless of find the faulty device.
To further increase productivity, the new version also includes the possibility that IT managers deploy and manage mobile business applications. Thus, end users access the software they need to be productive, and IT managers are better able to take applications securely.
As for pricing and availability, the Pro Tablet 608 G1 will be available in this month, although Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, but will incorporate Windows 10 from August. Its price will start from 439 euro.
