DJI, a company best known for producing the world’s most popular drones, has announced a new super compact camera capable of recording in 4K and with an integrated image stabilizer base. At a price of $650 it is impossible to say that it is economic, but reading its specifications we can realize that worth every penny.
To be more specific, the Osmo comes with a camera of 12 megapixels, 1/2.3″ sensor, a lens with a field of 94° view and with the ability to record to 4K without any problems.
“With Osmo, we have created a camera specifically designed to capture moving images smoothly and regardless of the recording conditions,” said founder and CEO of DJI, Frank Wang.
In addition to providing professional video stabilization (that they use in the movies), the base also has an integrated microphone and buttons which allow you quick access to the recording, pause, recording angles, “smart” functions and other configurations as the panorama mode that allows you to create 360-degree images.
The Osmo will have lots of accessories
Another great advantage of this DJI Osmo is that this camera to be interchangeable, provided it is one of the Zenmuse models of DJI. Among other compatible accessories, is an extension for your smartphone, a tripod, a basis for bicycles, an extension that allows you to place two accessories at a time and a universal base that allows you to connect an external microphone or a flashlight for a recording with even more professional results.
In fact, this device is so modular that DJI promised that you can compare the main base separately if you are of those who already have a Zenmuse camera.
