A new version of the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp, with over 465 million users worldwide, has been included for the first time, an animated icon among its catalog of emoticons.
WhatsApp beta 2.11.193 is available for download for the Android operating system directly from the official website of the application, as has been happening in recent months. In this case, it has seen a red heart that simulates a heartbeat, but it may be the first of a large catalog of images.
It would, therefore, an alternative to the famous ‘stickers’ of its opponents Line, which has generated so much success, although WhatsApp already assured a few months ago that not it would include in its platform this type of options. Recently, the company founded by Jan Koum launched an update from Google Play that allows, among other things, to hide the connection time and the profile picture to the non-aggregated contacts.
This interface makes suspect the company, established in 2009, is preparing two separate “emojis” – Japanese term that refers to the ideograms or characters, which could come in the coming months, as well as the new functionality which will, presumably, before and after in the trajectory of WhatsApp to include voice calls.
