Android O: New operating system of Google

Google has released this week details of what will be its new operating system for mobile, Android O. The Mountain View company thus renews its popular operating system with some changes that will improve the experience of users.

The firm has unveiled these new features at the annual Google I/O 2017 developer conference. At the moment, these are just some functional improvements of the system, which already has more than 2,000 million users worldwide. These are news for the first beta version.

Vitals, novelty of Android O
One of the main novelties of Android O is structural, and is called Vitals. This is a series of changes that will improve the security, power consumption and performance of the phone, especially thanks to Google Play Protect, a service that will analyze the apps installed by the user to make sure they are safe.

All this will help to reduce the execution time of the apps and the phone to open faster.

Improvement the experience
Under this name Google has introduced a number of enhancements to the user experience.

Thus, for example, Picture-in-Picture will allow in case of having a video conversation, have a mini-screen with this in any application.

Another of the changes is Notification Dots: the applications will have small markers in its icons that will give access to notifications without having to gain access to the bar. It will be a contextual menu that will help to have quick information of the apps: interactions, new mails…

On the other hand, it will improve the autocomplete function and also will be added possibilities in the selection of text: with Smart Text Detection, the phone will try to interpret what is the next step. For example, if you select a URL, you’ll be offered to open it on Google Maps.
